Draught is played on an 8 by 8 board like checkers. This program allows the player to: play the game, take back, auto play, save/load a game, and setup a game. The program is NOT CRIPPLED and there is no time limit, however, it does remind you to register. THE OBJECT OF THE GAME is to wipe out all of your enemy pieces OR force the enemy into a block where the enemy can't make a move. Draught is similar to checkers in that you move your men forward diagonally one square at a time to get to the other side of the board, to become King, and to wipe out your opponent's pieces. BUT, as noted below, there are variations to this game that are very unlike checkers. Kings may move multiple squares forward or backwards (even if the King is not trying to capture the opponent). Each man must move one square at a time forward diagonally BUT can capture his opponent either forward or backward. (Unlike the King, it is the only time a man can move backward.)
